The Sect was created around the year of 1483, in response to the Anarch uprisings. Hardestadt the Elder, of the Ventrue Clan, was the one that started making the plans back in the early 1400, to form this Sect. There are 6 main Clans that make up the most of the Sect. They are also the largest of the Sects existing today. The Sect is styled after a kingdom, with Princes at the top. After the princes there are a council of advisors, they are called "Primogen". The Primogen are composed of one member of each Clan in the city. They help advise the prince on problems within the city.

The Clans are:

Brujah Kind of like alot of hot headed gang bangers.
Malkavian Some say they are insane, other say that they see the truth.
Nosferatu Keeper of secrets.
Toreador Artists, well some are anyway.
Tremere Kind of like wizards.
Ventrue The rich with an attitude.
Caitiff The Clanless, but in a strange way the closest to Caine
Gargoyle The slaves that have awakened
Lasombra Antitribu Ones that play in the dark.

In the last couple of years things have not be good for the Camarilla. The younger generation are not so easily cowed, and the elders are having a harder time adapting to the changes in society and it's social norms. Also the Gangrel Clan has left the Sect completely, leaving a very large hole in the power structure of the Camarilla.

Every Cainite that lives within the domain of the Camarilla are expected to follow the "Traditions". Failure to do so can result in your destruction and/or your child. Ignorance is no excuse when it comes to a violation of one of these Traditions. Princes take an unhealthy view of the ones that break them regularly.

The Traditions:

The Masquerade Thou shalt not reveal thy true nature to those not of the blood. Doing So shall renounce thy claims of Blood.
The Domain Thy Domain is thy concern. All others owe thee respect while in it. None may challenge thy word in thy domain.
The Progeny Thou shalt sire another only with permission of thine elder. If thou createst another without thine elder's leave, both thou and thy progeny shalt be slain.
The Accounting Those thou create are thine own childer. Until thy progeny shall be released, thou shalt command them in all things. Theirs sins are thine to endure.
Hospitality Honor one another's domain. When thou comest to a foreign city, thou shalt present thyself to the one who ruleth there. Without the word of acceptance, thou art nothing.
Destruction Thou art forbidden to destroy another of thy kind. The right of destruction belongeth only to thine elder. Only the eldest among thee shall call the blood hunt.
